Lachlan & Levi - Our Community
Meet Lachlan and Levi, our bright and bubbly swim school brothers at AVLC Swim School! They love swimming with their teacher Emily, who has been instrumental in building their water confidence over the past year.
The brothers started GOswim lessons as their mum Rebecca felt it was important for them to be confident and safe in the water. Almost immediately, Rebecca noticed that the boys swimming lessons helped with their physical fitness and in understanding how to follow new directions. Rebecca loves the approach of swim school and how they use pool noodles to support floatation, rather than relying on wearing floatation devices.
Initially, Lachlan found activities like going underwater and diving for sinking toys quite challenging. However, through his perseverance and over time, his confidence has now grown immensely. Levi enjoys diving through the hoops and practising his jumps. His water confidence and listening skills have improved and his parents have noticed advancements in his breathing technique.
Their future goals are to continue to further increase their confidence and breathing skills, develop their floating ability and broaden their swim stroke skills.
Lachlan and Levi’s parents said, “We are very thankful for AVLC swim teachers, helping our children learn to swim. Their swimming abilities were even more apparent to us on a holiday last year. Their confidence towards the pool was incredible and they were even more independent than we had realised. It was so reassuring to see how their swimming lessons have positively impacted their ability to play and swim safely in the water.”
